When a person coughs, the vocalization created has a signature as unique as a fingerprint. This is also true of an “on demand,” forced cough vocalization. Recording this type of vocalization creates a signal data signature or SDS that is a form of biometric data.
SoundPass™ is a non-medical, biometric tool using multi-factor authentication (MFA) for establishing and maintaining a bubble of perimeter security around the premises or a group of people. Within minutes, our proprietary AI/ML system compares a new forced cough vocalization SDS recorded by the app to the user's personal Baseline SDS recording. SoundPass users receive an “Authenticated” message if the new SDS matches the Baseline and SoundPass Plus users also receive a QR code for verification at locations using the SoundPass Access software.
Once a personal Baseline is in place, users can check their current SDS anytime to see whether or not it matches. Baseline Conditions that can result in a “Not Authenticated” message include illness and environmental exposure, among others.

SoundPass is a personal biometric security tool that can be used by anyone, anywhere, throughout the day to conduct self-checks. First, users submit a series of forced cough vocalizations to establish a Baseline SDS. Once the Baseline is established, SoundPass can compare the new SDS to see whether or not it matches the Baseline. If the new SDS matches, the user gets an “Authenticated” message. If the new SDS does not match, the user gets a “Not Authenticated” message Conditions that can result in a “Not Authenticated” message include illness and environmental exposure, among others.
Employers can use SoundPass Plus and SoundPass Access together, to support the security of their employees and their businesses. In addition to multi-factor authentication, SoundPass Plus supplies a QR code for scanning at points of entry to businesses using SoundPass Access.
