SoundPass™ is a threat-agnostic personal alert system providing new solutions for today’s unique challenges.
When a person coughs, the vocalization created has a signature as unique as a fingerprint. SoundPass is biometric self-check software that looks for changes in a person’s cough sound signature. Using artificial intelligence, it compares each user’s current cough to their previously established baseline, to identify any changes. It can be used every day – even multiple times per day – with results available in under 2 minutes via an easy-to-use mobile app.
Your Personal Check Engine Light in a Mobile App
To set up the SoundPass mobile app, each person provides 6 forced cough sound recordings over the course of a day. From those recordings, SoundPass creates a personal baseline that is unique to each individual. With their baseline in place, users can conduct a self-check at any time by coughing again into the app. SoundPass rapidly compares the current cough to that person’s baseline to identify any changes that may have taken place. Conditions that can result in a “Not Authenticated” message include voice fatigue or strain, exposure to pathogens, acute and chronic conditions, environmental and other noxious agents and toxins. SoundPass does not diagnose or identify the reason for the mismatch.
When no changes are detected, SoundPass provides users with an Authentication message and a QR code. The QR code can be scanned by businesses using the companion software for facilities, called SoundPass Access. Like the check engine light on a car, SoundPass cannot identify what has caused the change or diagnose any illnesses – only that a change has been observed.
